Read the Bible in 2019
We would like to read the Bible together over the next year. If you start on January 1st and read every day, you will make it through the whole Bible. Here’s what it says on the Read Scripture website:
The heart behind reading Scripture is that everyone would read the Bible for themselves and discover the truth and beauty of God’s Word. Scripture is God’s gift to us, lighting up our paths and drawing us into a relationship with Him.
The vision of Read Scripture is not to tell people what the Bible says, but to teach them how to discover truth for themselves in the Word.
What if thousands of people started their days alone with God, reading Scripture, and responding with adoration and action? It would change everything.
There are several ways to join the challenge. For those who love to have the Bible in hand and a paper plan to lead the way there are paper reading plans in the church’s foyer (or download it here – 2019 Reading Plan). For those who like digital reminders and apps, you can download an app and or sign up for reminders or weekly emails.
Sign up for a weekly reminder emails at https://thebibleproject.com/. Scroll down the page until you reach the Read the Bible in A Year email sign-up. There are two apps that have the Bible Projects reading plan.
If you already use the Bible App then subscribe to “The Bible Project | The Bible 365 Days” plan. A second app with the exact same plan is available at https://www.readscripture.org/. Both apps have videos from the Bible Project integrated right into the apps which will help us dig deeper.
The Bible app allows whole groups to join the same plan and then track along as a group. Here’s the link for the group invitation.
We will celebrate our progress all year long!
