Joseph: Out of the Pit 10
Sunday :: Worship / Fellowship
Sunday, August 28th
The story of Joseph can be found in Genesis, chapters 17-50. His story is not a comfortable story. It is full of conflict, tragedy, crisis, and yes, God’s unseen work going on in the background. If you have ever gone through tough times and wondered how God is working, then this is a story for you. In Genesis 37:28 there are four little words that might convey a theme of Joseph’s life. It’s the little phrase, “out of the pit” (Gen. 37:28, ESV).
Key Verse
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
Genesis 50:20

After wrapping up a wonderful week of Homeward Bound, we continue to hear or see about needs in our community year round. Here’s a few right now or coming up shortly; looking for a willing, helping hand:
- Our Carr family will be packing up this week and moving out this coming weekend to their new home in Whitehall, where Larry is already working. We are looking for extra packing boxes you may have, and, also willing hands to help load up their moving truck this Saturday, September 1. Please contact the office if you are able to help.
- We have a neighbor in need who would need 3 to 4 strong backs to move a cast iron stove from Country Crossroads to their home on 4th street for cooking and heating in their home for the winter. Maybe a small group would take this on? Please also contact the office if you are able to help.
